Installation of edged logger and onboarding data equipment for the Petrol Station in Lat Lum Kaeo

Service period: May 23, 2022 – May 22, 2023

Service location: Petrol Station in Lat Lum Kaeo

Capacity : 58.32 kW

Greenwill solution installs the Edged logger, a compact processing device, to gather information from the Huawei Inverter and Weather Station within the 58.32 kW solar farm. All collected data will be transmitted for display and processing in the EnOS Solar Enlight and Ensight system.

Upon installation, the Edged logger establishes connections to retrieve stored data from internal devices or onboard data to storage variables.

“In various energy projects that require data from sensors and power meters to be displayed and analyzed on the ENOS platform, interfacing with various sensors is carried out using processing equipment. The selected processing device must be capable of functioning in a variety of environments, being durable, and having a long service life. The device should also be able to send and receive data from sensors operating over industry-standard protocols such as Modbus over RS-232/422/485 and/or a serial port, or a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port. Additionally, it should be equipped to support a mini PCI slot mobile connectivity module.

Moxa brand processing equipment was chosen because it offers versatile connectivity options and features a secure operating system that has demonstrated resilience in challenging environments for an extended period.”

The Moxa brand device, model UC-8112-LX, was selected by Envision’s engineering team to serve as an edge logger with quality and features that meet the needs as follows:

  • CPU: Arm Cortex-A8 300 1 GHz
  • 1 mini PCIe expansion slot for a wireless module
  • -10 to 60˚C Operating temperature
  • Dual auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports
  • Rich programmable LEDs and programmable button for easy installation and maintenance.
  • Moxa Industrial Linux with 10-year superior long-term support.
  • Debian 9 open platform
